Sometimes, it's necessary to access your server's GRUB boot menu to select a different kernel, boot into recovery mode, or perform maintenance tasks. In this article, we’ll explain how to do it using the Emergency Console available in the Clouding control panel.
First, log in to your Clouding client panel, click on the name of the server you want to access, and press the Emergency Console button:
A new browser tab will open with the server’s interactive console. Click the Send CtrlAltDel button located at the top right. This button will send a reboot signal to the server:
While the system is rebooting, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard. This will interrupt the automatic boot and display the GRUB menu. The appearance may vary slightly depending on the distribution (for example, Debian/Ubuntu or CentOS) and their respective color schemes:
Once inside the GRUB menu, you’ll be able to select the option you need.
