There are different ways to upload your files to your Cloud Server. In this post, we explain how to upload or download your files via FTP using FileZilla.
Steps to follow
FileZilla is a cross-platform, open-source, free software FTP client licensed under the GNU General Public License. It supports FTP, SFTP, and FTP over SSL/TLS (FTPS).
It was initially designed to run on Microsoft Windows, but since version 3.0.0, thanks to its use of wxWidgets, it has been cross-platform and is also available for other operating systems, including GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, and Mac OS X.
The FileZilla source code and downloads were hosted on SourceForge, which featured FileZilla as the Project of the Month in November 2003. It currently hosts the source code on its own website and the downloads on Open Hub.
To upload your files using this method, simply follow the steps below:
- Download the Filezilla “FTP client”. You can do this using the following URL: http://filezilla-project.org/download.php.
- Extract the uploaded file.
- Run the Filezilla FTP client.
- Fill in the “Servidor” field with the domain name you want to access.
- Fill in the fields “Usuario” and “Contraseña” with the FTP login details you received when you signed up with Clouding.io.
- Open the folder /httpdocs. If your website has an SSL certificate, you must upload your files to the /httpsdocs folder.
- Then, simply drag or copy the files and folders you want to upload to your hosting into the open directory.
If you have already uploaded your files to your hosting but the default Plesk page still does not appear, it may be because you have not deleted the default contents of the folder /httpdocs.
