We have occasionally been asked how to install phpMyAdmin on the WordPress 6.x image, and we see that many customers and users need to install this software to modify the database. So in this tutorial, we will walk through the complete installation so you can access it without any problems.
The process is quite simple. First, you will need to connect via SSH to the server and install the corresponding package:
# apt update
# apt install phpmyadmin
After installation, you will need to run the following:
# ln -s /usr/share/phpmyadmin/ /var/www/html/wordpress/phpmyadminThen you will need to install the mcrypt package:
# apt install php-mcryptAnd then restart FPM and Nginx.
If you have PHP 7.2, you will need to run the following:
# systemctl restart php7.2-fpm.service
# systemctl restart nginx
If you have PHP 8.0, you will need to run the following:
# systemctl restart php8.0-fpm.service
# systemctl restart nginx
You will now be able to access phpMyAdmin from our IP address as follows: IP_servidor/phpmyadmin and log in.
