You have occasionally reported an error with some images with pre-installed software, specifically with Nginx, where a file cannot be uploaded due to the Nginx configuration. This happens because the Nginx configuration has a parameter that specifies the file size allowed for uploads to the server.
If we check Nginx, we will see the following error:
2020/11/11 21:09:30 [error] 4634#4634: *9 client intended to send too large body: 1990246119 bytes, client: XX.XX.XXX.XX, server: domain.com, request: "POST /web/database/restore HTTP/1.1", host: "domain.com", referrer: "https://domain.com/web/database/manager"
The error indicates that the maximum size allowed for the HTTP protocol's POST method is smaller than the size of the file being uploaded via POST.
To resolve this problem, we can change the Nginx configuration temporarily or make the change permanent. We need to modify the Nginx configuration file:
/etc/nginx/nginx.conf
We need to look inside http {} for the following parameter and increase it:
client_max_body_size 250M;
Save the changes and restart Nginx:
systemctl restart nginx
With this change, we can now try uploading the file again.
