In Clouding you can make Snapshots of your Cloud Servers at any time in an agile and simple way. Do you want to know how? :) Lets start by the beginning.
What is a Snapshot?
It's an image your entire server disk. It is a snapshot, taken at a specific date and time and always available to you. It's created in a few seconds and is manual, that is, it's not renewed automatically as the backups are.
How do I manage them?
You create and manage your Snapshots from your client panel easily and safely. You create them yourself and delete them whenever you want with a single click.
How does it work? Is it really instant?
Snapshots use advanced features of our high performance storage cluster. In this way, all actions are instantaneous. Creating a snapshot, reverting a server to a previous Snapshot, cloning a server or creating a new server from a Snapshot are actions that you can now perform almost instantaneously, in a few seconds.
How much does it cost?
The coast of Snapshots is not only very economical but you can preview it on the control panel before you create it.
The price is € 0.02 per GB per month (which works out at € 0.0000274 per hour per GB).
As you can see, the price is determined based on the size of your Cloud Server disk, but let's look at some examples:
- Snapshot Disc 10GB
- Monthly: €0.20
- Per hour: €0.000274
- Snapshot Disc 100GB
- Monthly: €2.00
- Per hour: €0.00274
- Snapshot Disc 1TB
- Monthly: €20.00
- Per hour: €0.0274
What uses can I get out of it?
Snapshots are very useful and you'll save time and energy with them. Among the most common uses are the following:
- Save a master image of a server to create new servers in the future. In this post we explain how you can create a Snapshot.
- Make a snapshot before doing an important update or making changes on your server, so that you can easily go back in case something goes wrong. In this post we show you how to restore a server to a previous Snapshot and in this one how to create a server from a Snapshot.
- Clone a server for testing, without having to modify the main server. In this article you will see how to clone a server.
