Gmail is a free email service provided by Google that combines the best features of traditional email with Google's search technology. Gmail offers 15 GB of message storage shared with Drive and Google + Photos.
5 uses for Gmail you didn't know about
1. Sign out of sessions
Users very often leave their email signed in on a computer, tablet, cell phone, or laptop that is not theirs. This can put their personal data at risk.
To avoid problems, it is advisable to sign out. To do this, go to the bottom of the inbox, where “Información detallada” appears in small print. There you will see all account activity, with the time, date, and location, and you can sign out of all devices.
2. Send the same reply to many people
This is very useful for those who want to reply to the same messages on their birthday. To do this, enable “Respuestas estándar” by going to Google Labs, a section in Configuraciones where you can enable Google apps that are in the testing phase.
Then write the message you will reuse and save it. When you create a message, go to canned responses and choose the one you wrote previously.
3. Undo sending
Often, you send an email by mistake or regret what you sent. Gmail offers a solution for this. In the Google Labs section, enable the option to undo sending an email. One important detail is that after sending, you only have a few seconds to undo it.
4. How many unread emails?
In Labs, you can enable a way to see how many unread emails you have in your mailbox. The corresponding number will appear on the tab. This is especially useful for those who tend to have many tabs open.
5. Mute a conversation
Often, email conversations involve many users.
To mute the conversation without deleting it, go to “Más” and then select “Silenciar”.
