If you want to play with your friends and build the most powerful and productive company, you can create a Satisfactory server on Clouding with our Preinstalled Pterodactyl Image.
We recommend enabling strict Anti-DDoS if your server is publicly accessible.
Once you have strict Anti-DDoS enabled, we recommend activating Edge Filters. To do this, enter the server, go to Anti-DDoS in the options, and click the + in Edge Filters:
Then add the rule for TCP
Add the port you have configured. You can enable strict mode without issues, although it may block your own bots:
You can read more about strict Anti-DDoS in the following article
You can also set up a VPN like Wireguard for accessing the server or filter access by IP.
The minimum and recommended requirements are:
| Minimum Requirements | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | 2 vCores | Six vCores |
| RAM | 10240-12288 MiB | 16384-24576 MiB (For 4 players or very large games) |
| Storage | 15 GB | 7-10 GB (or more, depending on game size). We recommend the server has at least 20 GB |
| Game Owner | None required to start | A client owner is required. You can find more info at the following link: Server Initialization |
Server Configuration
To create a Satisfactory server on Pterodactyl, access your Pterodactyl control panel (remember you have the preinstalled image available in your Clouding client panel) and log in as an admin user.
Click the gear icon (Admin Control) in the top right corner of the user's dashboard page, then go to the nodes section and click the relevant node:
Then click on the "Allocations" tab in the top navigation bar and in the "Assign New Allocations" section in the top right corner of the page:
Enter the public IP address of the server and the port or ports for the application you will use. You can enter multiple ports separated by space or commas. In this article we will use a Satisfactory server as an example. The ports required are 7777, 15000 and 15777. You can find more info in the following link. (remember to open the ports in the Clouding server firewall profile).
Now you can add the egg to create the Satisfactory server. First, download the .json file by visiting egg-satisfactory.json. Once there, simply click the download button; when hovering over it, "Download raw file" will appear.
The next step is to go to the Nests tab at the bottom of the settings sidebar:
Inside, look for the blue Create New button:
Add basic info to differentiate it from other Eggs:
The next step is to click the green Import Egg button:
Select the .json file downloaded earlier and associate it with the appropriate Nest:
Once you’ve created the allocation, you’ll be able to assign it to a server in the corresponding node. Do this from the "Servers" tab in the node’s control panel. Click on the section and then the "Create New" button. Choose the name, description, and user of the server:
Also choose the server's resource limits. You can leave them unlimited by entering zero:
Finally, select the desired Nest and Egg. Pterodactyl supports several server types by default, from Minecraft to voice servers like TeamSpeak and Mumble. You can also import other Eggs in the Nests section, such as those from parkervcp. In this article, we select a Satisfactory server:
Finally, click "Create Server" at the bottom right. The installation will start automatically and you can monitor the process by exiting "Admin Control" from the top-right button. In the user's dashboard, the newly created server will appear in the list, and clicking on it will show the console:
If you get a permission error, you'll need to access via SSH and run the following command:
# chown -R pterodactyl:pterodactyl /var/lib/pterodactyl/volume/UUID_Server/
You can also load existing save games. For more info, visit the following link.
