Sometimes, like for example with a mail server, you’ll need to modify the PTR record to ensure the service functions properly. Whether you're using our DNS servers or your own DNS servers, if you need to configure the PTR record, you’ll need to do it through the Clouding portal.

Modify PTR Record
To modify this record, log into your Clouding account and go to the DNS section.
Navigate to the tab labeled PTR Records:
Here, you’ll see a list of all your servers with the IP resolution and host name. To edit, update the host name for your server’s IP.
Update the host name to your domain and click submit:
