Exchange or Office 365 requires SRV-type DNS records to function properly. An SRV record includes the following parameters:
_service._proto.name. TTL SRV priority weight port target
When you go to enter an SRV record in the Clouding panel, you’ll only see the fields for Subdomain, Data, and TTL. Clearly, there are fields missing to input all the required parameters.
The key is that in the Subdomain field, you’ll need to enter "_service._proto.name." and in the Data field, you’ll enter "priority weight port target." Let’s go through a few practical examples:
Creating an SRV Record for an Exchange Server
To create an SRV record for your own Exchange server, you’ll need to create a record like this:
_autodiscover._tcp.domain.com. 3600 SRV 0 100 443 exchange.domain.com
So, you would fill in the fields like this:
Creating an SRV Record for Office 365
Office 365 requires the following two records:
_sip._tls.domain.com 3600 100 1 443 sipdir.online.lync.com
_sipfederationtls._tcp.domain.com 3600 100 1 5061 sipfed.online.lync.com
