With OpenPanel, you can manage and customize your own hosting plans, creating different packages based on the needs of each user. You can define specific limitations for each package, such as the amount of RAM, CPU, storage, and network traffic available. This way, you can offer different levels of service tailored to the plans you wish to provide, optimizing performance and ensuring that each user has the necessary resources based on their subscription.
Configuration of OpenPanel Packages
Access OpenAdmin with your administrator user and in the left panel click on "Hosting Plans/User Packages"
OpenAdmin will display the currently available packages. You can edit a package by clicking on the three-dot icon of the package to modify and, in the contextual menu, clicking the Edit option. To create a new package, click the button "Create New"
In both cases, you will need to fill in the details with the package information:
The details you need to fill in for each package are:
Name | Visible name that users will see in their OpenPanel dashboards. |
Description | Visible only to administrators. |
Disk | Disk space allocated for the user's website files (directory /home/user/). |
Inodes | (OBSOLETE) Limits the total number of files allowed in the container. |
CPU Cores | Number of CPU cores dedicated to the user in this hosting plan. |
Memory | Physical memory (RAM) in GB allocated to the user in this hosting plan. |
Port speed | Maximum port speed for users in mbit/s. |
Domains | Total number of domain names allowed per user in the plan. |
Websites | Total number of websites (WordPress, NodeJS, Python) allowed per user in the plan. |
MySQL Databases | Total number of MySQL databases allowed per user in the plan. |
Email accounts | Total number of email accounts allowed per user in the plan. (requires license) |
FTP accounts | Total number of FTP accounts allowed per user in the plan. (requires license) |
If you do not wish to specify a specific limit, you can enter the value 0, and OpenPanel will consider that there is no limit for that feature. For example, if you want to indicate that this package has no restrictions on the number of domains to manage, you would enter the value 0 in Domains.
Once the user package/plan is created, you can apply it to different users to assign each user their limited hosting plan.
