In this article, we will show you how to fix errors in phpMyAdmin with VestaCP:
These are not critical errors; without fixing them, we can import, export, create, modify, or delete tables without any problems. The problem lies in the configuration created by VestaCP.
To fix these errors, the first thing we will do is connect via SSH to our server and reconfigure phpMyAdmin; to do this, we will import the database phpmyadmin again and create a user with access to that table:
# cd /usr/share/doc/phpmyadmin/examples
# mysql -u root < create_tables.sql
# mysql -u root -e GRANT SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, UPDATE ON phpmyadmin.* TO 'pma'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY "pmapassword"'In the previous step, specify a more complex password; this is an example.
Now that we have imported the database, we will proceed to configure phpMyAdmin; we will modify the configuration to use the following parameters. We edit the configuration file /etc/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php: Use the password from the previous step in the following configuration:
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = 'pma';
/* usar la contraseña del paso anterior*/
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = 'pmapassword';
/* Optional: Advanced phpMyAdmin features */
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb'] = 'phpmyadmin';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['bookmarktable'] = 'pma__bookmark';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['relation'] = 'pma__relation';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_info'] = 'pma__table_info';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_coords'] = 'pma__table_coords';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['pdf_pages'] = 'pma__pdf_pages';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['column_info'] = 'pma__column_info';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['history'] = 'pma__history';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_uiprefs'] = 'pma__table_uiprefs';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['designer_coords'] = 'pma__designer_coords';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['tracking'] = 'pma__tracking';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['userconfig'] = 'pma__userconfig';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['recent'] = 'pma__recent';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['users'] = 'pma__users';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['usergroups'] = 'pma__usergroups';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['navigationhiding'] = 'pma__navigationhiding';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['savedsearches'] = 'pma__savedsearches';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['favorite'] = 'pma__favorite';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['central_columns'] = 'pma__central_columns';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['designer_settings'] = 'pma__designer_settings';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['export_templates'] = 'pma__export_templates';The problem is now fixed. To stop the errors from appearing, simply log out and log back in to phpMyAdmin.
