If you encounter a Windows Update error, first use the troubleshooter to automatically fix any issues:
If the problem persists or the error can’t be fixed, follow this article to reset it manually. First, create a snapshot of your server for safety, then open a text editor and add the following content:

Save it as a .BAT file, for example, update.bat, and run it as administrator:
During the process, you'll see several windows pop up that you'll need to approve to keep things moving. Once it's finished, run the Windows Update Troubleshooter again to ensure there are no errors.
