In order to offer you an optimal experience, we occasionally perform updates to our platform to improve its performance, reliability and security. As a result of this improvement, it is necessary to reload certain processes running on cloud servers.
There are two ways to reload these processes:
OPTION A. You must perform a shutdown and startup of your servers manually (this is the safest and most recommended). You have several days to do it (from the moment we send you the notice by email, but we recommend you to do it as soon as possible).
OPTION B. Our team will perform a hot migration of your servers to another node, after the maximum day that we have mentioned if you have not performed the manual power off and on.
The first option is the most indicated, since it is a controlled and reliable action. Option B, although transparent to the users, can lead to the server operating system crashing and it may be necessary to restart the server from the panel.
The manual shutdown and startup of the servers is completely transparent and only has an impact on performance improvements. It will in no way affect the software installed on your server.
When you log into your client panel you will see that your servers appear in a "Platform Upgrade Pending" status. Just turn off and on, archive or resize your server and this status will disappear and return to the usual state (restart or forced restart will not perform the update).
Important
In case you do not perform the manual shutdown and startup, when the deadline we have mentioned, we will have to start the intervention through the hot migration; since it is necessary that the entire platform is updated for security reasons.
As we have already mentioned, this procedure may cause your server to stop working properly and, subsequently, the server may require a manual shutdown and restart on your part.
In addition, due to the large volume of servers we will not be able to inform you when this migration will take place and some servers in the same account may be upgraded before others. Therefore, our recommendation is the option A (that you manually turn off and turn on your servers yourself by clicking on the button on the portal).
