In our list of Images available on Clouding, you have access to an image with an open source control panel for website administration called CyberPanel. With the latest version of AlmaLinux.
Among the features of CyberPanel are options to manage web spaces, choose between different versions of PHP, FTP, DNS, a mail server, databases, local and remote backups, and above all, its server monitoring tools.
It also comes equipped with a WordPress+ LSCache installer, which, combined with LiteSpeed being included by default, makes these types of websites run much faster. It also includes the option to automatically add free SSL certificates thanks to Let's Encrypt.
When you create a new machine with CyberPanel, keep in mind that the server is created almost instantly, but it will then spend around 15 minutes installing all the panel components. Therefore, when you receive the email with the server password, you will not yet be able to access the panel from your browser.
It is important that after installing CyberPanel you follow these steps to avoid problems in the future.
Enable port 8090 for the server
By default, this port is not allowed in the Clouding FW. It is the port used to access the panel. To enable it, simply go to Mis Firewall, click the pencil for the FW configured for your server, and add the following FW rule (if you only want access from your computer, you can filter by IP):
We recommend modifying the FW assigned to the server by removing any ports you do not use, such as 8443, which comes with the default FW (if you use it on another server, you can create a duplicate of the default and disable those unnecessary ports)
Change the server Hostname
Another thing you will need to change is the hostname of the server. First, you will need to add a website that you want to use as the Hostname; it can simply be the main or only website. Once this is done, go to SSL > Hostname SSL > and select the website you want to be the hostname.
If you want a mail server, you can modify SMTP Hosts by going to Main > Websites > List Websites > Manage > SMTP HOSTS
Configure notifications
To receive notifications, go to Logs -> Server Mail, and fill in the information for the mailbox where you want to receive emails (do not forget to enable outgoing SMTP in the panel!)
