In Clouding.io you already have detailed information about the consumption of your servers, in this post we explain how you have to do to see the consumption breakdown of the servers you have active. It's very simple!
Cost of the new Private Network (VPC)
From October 1 2024, each Private Network (VPC) you add will have a maximum cost of 1.00€ per month. That is, we will only charge for the time during which the network is created, with a maximum of 1.00€ per month (and the cost will be the same whether you assign the network to multiple servers or not). For example, if your network is active for 10 days, you will pay the time proportional to those days. This charge is made to ensure a good use of this feature and prevent abuse of the platform.
Backups costs
The price is 0,02€ per GB per month (or 0,0000274€ per hour per GB).
The price is defined based on the size of your disk and how many copies you want to have.
The formula would be: (Size of your server disk * Number of backups to keep) * 0,02€.
The frequency does not affect the price: a server with a 50GB disk for which you choose 4 backups with weekly frequency has a price of 4€. If you choose the same number of backups but set the frequency as daily, the price will be the same: 4€.
Snapshots costs
The cost of Snapshots is not only very low, but you can preview it in the control panel before creating a Snapshot.
The price is 0.02€ per GB per month (or 0.0000274€ per hour per GB).
Steps to follow
Click on the "Account" tab and within it click on "Reports".
To see the consumption of each of them, click on the box to the left of the server name, where the PLUS symbol will change to a MINUS symbol and a drop-down menu will open with all the information about the consumption of the server in question.
The first column shows the name you have given to the server, the second column shows the image with which you have configured it and the third column shows the total amount of the total consumption made by the server up to the current date.
Below, in the left column, the time span of consumption from the creation of the server to the time at which the query is being made is indicated (actually, and to be super precise, as the reference we use is UTC (Universal Coordinated Time), the system reflects the time of consumption up to one hour before the time at which the query is being made). In the example, the consumption made by SRV01 is shown from June 1, 2024 at 00:00 a.m. (server creation time) to June 7, 2024 at 10:32 a.m. and from June 7, 2024 at 10:32 a.m. to June 21, 2024 at 11:17 a.m. (one hour before the time at which the consumption query is being made).
The following columns show the resources with which the server in question has been configured and the amount of each of these resources. In the example, in the SRV02: 1 Core (1.68022€), 2 GB of RAM (1.68022€), 15GB of SSD disks (1.03172€).
Each time you resize the server, a new row will appear with the new resources chosen and the cost of each one of them, therefore, there will be as many rows as you resize the server. So, in the example we show you the server was created on June 1st with the following resources: 0.5 Core, 1 GB of RAM memory and 130 GB of SSD disks. Subsequently a resize was performed on June 7th changing the CPU resources from 0.5 to 1 Core, RAM memory from 1 GB to 2GB and SSD disk from 130GB to 500GB, so in the breakdown it is shown in two rows with their corresponding amounts.
If another resize is done, a third row will be displayed and so on.
You will always see the total amount of the server cost (apart from where we have indicated above) at the top right. In the example, 29.21740€.
Also, if you wish, you can see a breakdown of the consumption of your servers in a specific period of time. To do this, just click on the tab at the top right where "Period" is indicated and a drop-down menu will open with the different time ranges that you can choose to display the consumption during that period.
Thus, with this detailed breakdown, you will be able to know at any time the consumption made by all the Cloud servers that you have active in Clouding.io.
