In our list of Images available on Clouding you can find an image with an open source control panel for managing websites called CloudPanel. With the latest Ubuntu version.
Among the features of CloudPanel worth highlighting are the options to manage web spaces, choose between different PHP versions, FTP, DNS, a mail server, databases, local and remote backups, and above all its server monitoring tools.
It also comes ready with a WordPress+ Varnish Cache installer, which, combined with Nginx being included by default, makes these types of websites much faster. It also includes the option to automatically add free SSL certificates through Let's Encrypt.
When you create a new machine with CloudPanel, keep in mind that the server is created almost instantly, but it will then spend around 15 minutes installing all the panel components. Therefore, when you receive the email with the server password, you will not yet be able to access the panel from your browser.
It is important that after installing CloudPanel you follow these steps to avoid problems in the future.
Change the server Hostname
One thing you will need to change is the server's hostname. First, you will need to add a website that you want to use as the Hostname; this can simply be the main or only website. Once this is done, go to Admin Area> Settings > and add the URL with an existing DNS record for the panel
Change the Admin account email
You will need to change the admin user's email address to receive notifications. To do this, click the user icon > Settings and enter the email address you need in E-Mail (remember to enable SMTP)
Enable Varnish
Enabling the Varnish cache is especially recommended to make the page run more smoothly and quickly. To do this, go to the website where you want to enable it, and under Varnish Cache, enable it using the blue button to the left of the name:
