There are several occasions when the server does not work properly or even the image freezes, that is where we can have the option to restart or force restart the server from the Clouding panel to try to solve these problems. In this short article we will explain how to do it.
Accessing the Clouding control panel
Once you are logged in and in the control panel, you will need to go to Servers > My Servers.
Once you have accessed My Servers, you will be able to locate the server that is giving you problems or that you simply want to restart.
Restarting the cloud server
Once you have located it, click on the three dots to the right of the server information and a menu will appear:
As you can see, there are two types of reboot, we will explain briefly what type of reboot they are:
- Reboot: Tells the operating system to restart and a request is launched for this operation. Sometimes, depending on the services you have on your server, it may take more or less time.
- Forced Reboot: Reboots the server immediately, without giving the operating system a chance to shut down properly.
Simply click on the option that suits you best and the server will remain in the "Rebooting" state:
Now you only have to wait for the server to become "Active" again and it will be restarted.
We hope it has been helpful and remember, if you have questions about this or any other issue related to your Clouding servers, do not hesitate to write to soporte@clouding.io. We are at your side for whatever you need, contact us!
