Create a text file listing the files and folders in a directory

Steps to follow

1. Access your server via Remote Desktop. If you are using a PC, you can simply skip to the next step.

2. Open the Windows command prompt

   Open the Windows command prompt (cmd)

    

3. Go to the directory for which you want to create the listing
4. Run the command:

    dir /b > lista.txt

This will create a basic text document with all the names of the files in the folder in question, including their extensions. The file “lista.txt” will be saved in the same path.
