If you use Plesk, you may need to restore a single website when restoring a full-server backup is not an option. In that case, you can restore the full-server backup to a new server and then use Plesk Migrator to synchronize the website you need to recover. Follow these steps to restore just one website.
Create a server from a backup
To create a server from another server’s backup, create a new server and, under Origen de Disco, select the Backup tab and choose the server backup. For more detailed instructions on creating a server from a backup, see Creating a Server from a Backup.
Configure Plesk Migrator with the backup server
Once you have created the server from the backup, you should have two servers: your production Plesk server and the new server created from the backup:
Now access your production Plesk server and go to Herramientas y Configuración > Administrador de migraciones y transferencias (Tools & Settings > Migration & Transfer Manager if your interface is in English).
Click Iniciar una migración nueva:
Fill in the Dirección IP, Nombre de usuario root, and Contraseña Root fields. Then click Preparar Migración.
If everything went well, the following screen should appear:
Because the subscriptions on the production server and the backup server are the same, select Show Existing Subscriptions to display all subscriptions:
Select the website you want to restore and add it to the box on the right, as shown here:
Once you have selected the website to restore, click Migrar.
This starts the pre-migration check:
After the checks, the subscription migration begins:
Once the subscription has been synchronized, you will see the following:
That’s it! Your website has been restored from a full-server backup.
