The QEMU Agent is a daemon or service that runs inside each cloud server that is deployed. It is used to help the Hypervisor deploy management by obtaining information about the systems that are currently running on the Hypervisors.
There is a lot of useful information it allows us to collect, host information or network information. We can also perform some interesting tasks.
In Clouding we use QEMU Agent to, for example, reset the access password of an already deployed server.
When you change the password of the server from the panel, our orchestrator communicates with the QEMU KVM process and it requests the password change allowing you to make this change "on the fly" without having to restart your cloud server.
If this service is uninstalled from the server, then this operation cannot be performed from our panel.
Remember, if you have questions about this or any other issue related to your Clouding servers, do not hesitate to write to support@clouding.io We are at your side for whatever you need!
